sound of freedom – This was a great set up. I loved being able to customize the set up. Only issue I had was my own fault as a newb to building these. I used a heavy barrel in a slim hand guard. It makes adding attachments tough with clearances. Hoping someday to also get an AR10 from here.
Everything works nothing wrong with the uppper. had it for 2 months now and shot about 500 rds of .223/5.56 brass mix no malfunction at all. Shot 30 rds of steel one malfunction. but other than that it has worked flawlessly .

I recently purchased this kit and did a few upgrades/options. The kit came in today and it is everything I was hoping for. This option was a more economically sound one rather than buying a store bought rifle and then having to swap in the parts I wanted. The folks at Midstate answered my questions quickly and once I ordered, built my upper assembly and shipped my parts quickly. I’m very happy with them and will recommend them to any one that wants to do an AR build in the future.
