MSF 20” SS Fluted (Rifle Gas) 5.56/.223 Ar15 Upper Assembly

The shipping was amazing fast, I was impressed to see barrel is fluted all the way not just at the end, the barrel is super thick looks like my ar10s barrel

After searching the web for several weeks trying to find the 20" barrel length and twist that I wanted ( and pulling out my hair ) I stumbled upon msf. I was very surprised to not only find a company that had the barrel in stock but also had the options to add a quadrail ( my second biggest concern). I like many others have bought ar parts or even whole rifles or pistols that have a fit that is loose enough that the gun rattles that is nowhere near the case with the upper that I received. The fit is so tight I was worried that I would be able to get my rear takedown pin to go in however It did eventually go in. They get 5 stars just for the fit and finish. That dosnt mean the finish comes to you factory perfect it dosnt and I was glad to see that it wasn't. You see I was under the impression that I would receive a tested firearm and you can't receive a perfect finish on a tested gun, the two ( tabs) for the take down pins had some of the finish worn of but they didn't just sand pepper it off for you skeptical ones out there it was worn on the front in a perfect circle from the movements and action of installation onto a lower for test fitment. They did a excellent job cleaning it before shipping but they did miss ONE little spot of powder residue ( nothing most people would even notice without cleaning it after opening the box.) I am very excited about the rifling also as I do not see any chattering or hopping that I've seen in other barrels. Many people hate how I build my guns front heavy ( no lightweight mountain gun) as I use it mostly for varmints and only shoot paper once in a while however I build front heavy to reduce muzzle rise for quicker follow up shots and between the heavy fluting and comp muzzle brake this is a dream to shoot even with heavy 85 grain pills. Shipping was unbelievable i received my upper hand delivered my ups ( I required signature) in less than 2 weeks. The only complaint I have it there are no included stickers ( the cozie is nice if you drink) to help get the name out. In short mid states firearms is the only place I will be buying upper parts from period.
